The processing of these materials requires a variety of diamond tools.

The diamond tools produced in Germany, Italy, Japan, and South Korea have many varieties, high quality and high prices. Their products almost occupy most of the high-end stone processing market.

In the past ten years or so, Chinese companies producing diamond tools have developed rapidly. From the perspective of the number of companies, there are nearly a thousand companies producing diamond tools, with annual sales revenue exceeding tens of billions. There are nearly 100 diamond tool manufacturers in Danyang City in Jiangsu Province, Shijiazhuang City in Hebei Province, Ezhou City in Hubei Province, Shuitou City in Quanzhou City in Fujian Province, Yunfu City in Guangdong Province and Shandong Province. There are so many and large-scale enterprises that produce diamond tools in China, which is unmatched by any other country in the world, and it will surely become the world’s diamond tool supply base. Certain types of diamond tools in China also have a high level of quality, and some famous brands of diamond tools abroad have also commissioned Chinese companies to produce them. However, most of the products produced by most companies are of inferior quality and low price. Although China exports a large number of diamond tools, most of them are low-priced products and are called “junk”. Even high-quality products whose quality meets or surpasses similar foreign products, because they are made in China, cannot sell at a good price, which seriously affects China’s image. What is the cause of this situation? In summary, there are two main reasons.

One is the low level of technology. The development of diamond tool production technology can be divided into three stages so far. The first stage is to use elemental powder as the matrix and add diamonds to make diamond tools by a process of mechanical mixing. This process is prone to component segregation; high sintering temperature can easily cause diamond graphitization and reduce the strength of diamond. Since various carcass materials are mechanically combined, they are not fully alloyed, and the carcass has a poor effect on diamonds, making it difficult to produce high-end products. The second stage is the use of pre-alloyed powder as the matrix and the process of diamond mixing to make diamond tools. Because the matrix material is fully alloyed and the sintering temperature is low, this process will not reduce the strength of the diamond, avoid the segregation of components, produce a good encasement effect on the diamond, and make the diamond function play well. The diamond tools produced by using pre-alloyed powder as the matrix have the characteristics of high efficiency and slow attenuation, and can produce high-quality diamond tools. The third stage is the use of pre-alloyed powder as the matrix, and the orderly arrangement (multi-layer, uniformly distributed diamond) technology for diamonds. This technology contains the technical advantages of pre-alloyed powder, and arranges the diamonds in an orderly manner, so that each diamond is fully utilized, and overcomes the defect that the uneven distribution of diamonds caused by the mechanical mixing process seriously affects the cutting performance. , Is the latest technology in the production of diamond tools in the world today. Take the commonly used ?350mm diamond cutting blade as an example, the cutting efficiency of the first stage technology is 2.0m (100%), the cutting efficiency of the second stage technology is 3.6m (increased to 180%), and the third stage The cutting efficiency of the technology is 5.5m (increased to 275%). Among the companies currently producing diamond tools in China, 90% still use the first-stage technology, less than 10% of the companies use the second-stage technology, and individual companies use the third-stage technology. It is not difficult to see that among the current diamond tool companies in China, a few companies are fully capable of producing high-quality products. However, most companies still use traditional and backward technology.

The second is vicious competition. Diamond tools are consumables and are in great demand in the market. According to the current technology of producing diamond tools in the first stage, it is relatively easy to start a new diamond tool enterprise. In a short period of time, there are nearly a thousand companies producing diamond tools in China. Take the commonly used 105mm diamond saw blade as an example, the product grade is’high-quality’, the ex-factory price is above 18 yuan, accounting for about 10%; the product grade is’standard’, the ex-factory price is about 12 yuan, accounting for about 50% ; The product grade is “economic”, the ex-factory price is about 8 yuan, accounting for about 40%. These three types of products are calculated according to the average social cost. The profit margin of’high-quality’ products can reach more than 30%, and the profit margin of’standard’ products can reach 5-10%. The ex-factory prices of enterprises are all below 8 yuan, and there are even as low as below 4 yuan.

Since most of the companies’ technology is at the level of the first stage, and the product quality is similar, to seize market share, they have to fight for resources and prices. You catch up with me, and the product prices are lowered. Such products are exported in large quantities. No wonder others say that Chinese products are’junk’. Without changing this situation, it is difficult to avoid trade frictions. At the same time, companies that produce low-priced products are also facing the challenge of RMB appreciation.

Take the road of high quality, high efficiency, energy saving and emission reduction.

China’s annual production and sales of tens of billions of yuan of diamond tools consume about 100,000 tons of steel, non-ferrous metals, 400 million grams of diamonds, 600 million kWh of electricity, 110,000 tons of packaging materials, 52,000 tons of grinding wheels, and 3,500 tons of paint. The products currently produced are mostly middle and low-end products. Compared with the products of developed countries, there is a big gap. For example, 105mm diamond saw blade, continuous dry cut 20mm thick medium-hard granite slab, cut 40m long. The cutting efficiency of products in developed countries can reach 1.0~1.2m per minute. China’s'standard’ slices can be cut 40m long without strength, and the efficiency of good products can reach 0.5~0.6m per minute, and the’economic’ slices can be cut less than 40m I can’t move it anymore, the average efficiency per minute is below 0.3m. And our few “high-quality” slices, the cutting efficiency can reach 1.0~1.5m per minute. China is now able to produce high-quality diamond tools. High-quality products have high cutting efficiency and can save a lot of energy and man-hours when used. High-quality products can be used up and have a long service life. A single “high-quality” saw blade can top 3 to 4 “standard” or “economic” blades. If the diamond saw blades produced in China are controlled at the level of’high-quality’ blades, one year’s sales revenue will only increase, not decrease, and at least 50% of resources can be saved (steel, non-ferrous metals 50,000 tons, electricity 300 million Degree, 55,000 tons of packaging materials, 26,000 tons of grinding wheels, and 1,750 tons of paint). It can also reduce the emission of dust from the grinding wheel and the emission of paint gas, and reduce the pollution to the environment.
