Recovery Method Of Unclear Brightness After Marble Floor Grinding

After the dark marble and granite floor is refurbished and polished, the original color cannot be completely restored, or there are rough grinding scratches on the floor, or after repeated polishing, the floor cannot restore the original clarity and brightness of the stone. Have you encountered this situation? Let’s discuss together how to solve the problem that the original clarity and brightness cannot be restored after marble polishing.

(1) Choose different types of refurbishers and grinding discs according to your needs and experience. The grinding effect will be affected by various factors: stone material, grinding machine weight, counterweight, speed, whether to add water and the amount of water, type and quantity of grinding discs, Grinding particle size, grinding time and experience, etc.;

(2) If the stone surface is seriously damaged, it can be grinded with metal grinding discs first, and then grind with resin pads in the order of 50# 100# 200# 400# 800# 1500# 3000#;

(3) If the damage to the stone surface is not serious, the grinding disc can be selected from a higher particle size and can be selected according to the actual situation;

(4) Experienced technicians, after polishing with the 3000# polishing pads, the brightness of the stone surface can reach 60°-80°, and the brightness of the granite floor can reach 80°-90° after using the polishing sheet DF polishing treatment and crystal surface treatment Above, the marble floor is better polished with sponge polishing sheet FP6;

(5) When using high-granularity grinding discs for fine grinding, the water consumption should be appropriately reduced. Before using the next-granularity grinding discs after each grinding, it is recommended to clean the working surface, otherwise the grinding effect will be affected;

(6) The purpose of the diamond refurbishment pad is basically the same as that of the flexible polishing pad, but it has a longer service life and better ground flatness.

Why does the above situation occur? This is mainly because there is a problem with the grinding, and the grinding is not carried out according to the specifications. Some people think that the key point of grinding is to smooth the notch. As long as the notch is smoothed, the grinding is rougher, the number of skipping grinding and other problems can be solved during polishing, and these problems can be covered by polishing several times. , if this is what you think, then the above problems will not appear.

To prevent the above similar situations, we should pay attention to the following aspects when grinding.

1. Establish the concept of step-by-step grinding. When grinding stone, it must be grinded step by step. After grinding 50#, grind with 100#, and so on. This is especially important for the grinding of dark stone. If you skip the number of grinding, such as 50# grinding and then replace the 300# grinding disc, it will definitely cause the problem that the color cannot be returned. One mesh eliminates the scratches of the previous mesh, which is designed by the grinding disc during production. Maybe someone raised an objection. When I operated some stones, I skipped the number, and there was no problem of residual scratches as you said, but I told you that this is just an example. You must be operating light-colored stones, or the hardness of the stone. Lower, scratches are easy to remove, and scratches with lighter colors are not easy to see. If you use a magnifying glass to observe, there will be scratches.

2. Coarse grinding should be thoroughly ground. Coarse grinding means that when grinding 50#, it must be ground well and thoroughly. What is this concept? Some people usually grind more along the seam when they are notching, and the plates are smoothed, but there may be bright parts on the stone plate surface, which means that they are not completely grinded. Each grinding piece has the ability to eliminate scratches by itself. If the 50# grinding piece is not completely grinded, it will increase the difficulty of 100# to eliminate 50# scratches.

3. Grinding must have a quantitative concept. Many workers do not have the concept of quantification when grinding. Until 50# is smoothed, the scratches of 50# can be eliminated by grinding 100# several times. There is no concept of quantification. However, the number of times of operation is different for different stone materials and different on-site conditions. Maybe your previous experience will not work in this project. We have to conduct on-site experiments to confirm. The concept of quantification allows us to solve problems and do more with less!

We grind step by step when grinding, not just to eliminate scratches step by step, but because each grinding disc has its own function. For example, the 100# grinding disc should eliminate the scratches of the notch and smooth the rough grinding. The 200# grinding disc has the ability to restore color, but it must be a Diamond refurbishment pad to have this function. The 500# grinding disc also has the ability of finishing, ready for rough grinding and fine grinding, and ready for fine grinding and polishing. The grinding process is the key to the entire nursing process, and the crystallizing polishing is just the icing on the cake.
